Vacancy: Graphic Designer

MEUK Records is looking for a designer (volunteer) to take responsibility for all our 2026 release visuals. This means: cover and motion design as one integrated whole — not separate assets, but one living artwork per release.

About the role

You’ll work independently, with creative freedom within the MEUK identity: raw, colorful, distinctive, and connected to the underground techno scene. We cannot provide a physical workplace, so you will be working remotely. You are expected to have access to your own design software. You’ll work directly with Eva Bohnen (creative director/founder), and everything is planned well in advance (no last-minute stress).

INTERNSHIP OPTION

This role can also function as a design internship (if your school approves remote internships), a reintegration project for someone returning to the field, or a short-term involvement (e.g. one semester) with clear outcomes. Contact us if you have any questions about this option.

In all cases, you’ll receive direct guidance and feedback from an experienced designer.

What we are looking for
  • You have affinity with the underground techno scene and know what it means to be actively part of a community
  • You can take creative ownership and work independently
  • You’re fluent in graphic & motion design tools (Adobe Suite, etc.)
  • You can work within existing style guidelines and understand how to build consistency across multiple iterations
  • You are based anywhere – we work fully remote
What you will do
  • Design all visuals for our 2026 release series (around 12 releases)
  • Either evolve our existing visual concept (motion & cover as one), or develop a strong new one within MEUK’s identity
  • Deliver in multiple formats (Spotify Canvas, IG carousel, square cover, etc.)
  • Work within a quarterly structure (Q4 = designing for Q1); taking on the whole assignment at once is also negotiable
  • Collaborate directly, with short communication lines

How to apply

Submitting a concept proposal is part of the application process.

You can either:

  • Continue and evolve our current visual line — recognizable, rhythmic, motion-based, with our logo as the central element for brand awareness
  • Propose your own visual concept, as long as it clearly fits MEUK’s identity: raw, colorful, and community-driven

In both cases, your proposal should include:

  1. A description/ moodboard of your concept idea. Show clearly how you can deliver multiple variations that are completely different, yet stem from the same concept
  2. One fully developed example, including:
    • 1080×1080 cover
    • 8 sec motion loop (landscape & portrait)
